About

-= The Irwin Project =-

The Irwin Project started with sharing life experiences with an object, and creating a bond that resembles friendship/kinship. It is now about creating memories with people from around the globe, changing their perception of the spaces they have visited and making friends along the way.
The small Parisian mime, has become so much bigger than just a toy. With his own comic, website, facebook account, and a number of videos on the way; Irwin is fast becoming a popular guest in the places he visits.

Originally taken from a novelty toy-set called “The Avenging Unicorn”, Irwin was taken to Germany in 2006 as a travel companion (Irwin took the place of his keeper in photos).
Irwin made many friends on this trip, indeed everyone he met wanted their photo taken with him. Realising that Irwin was a hit; spreading cheer and making friends, his keeper took him everywhere he went. Within the year Irwin had been to: Germany, USA, Thailand & The Netherlands

Now Irwin is an interactive project that you (yes you!) can be a part of. If you’re in the City that Irwin plans to visit next, join in with the photo/video activities going on.

Ways of participating:

  • Printing out your own Irwin mask
  • Suggesting new places to visit
  • Being in the right place at the right time
  • Becoming Irwin’s friend on facebook.com
