Time Achieved

Irwin is grateful you’ve taken the time to look at this page, but not nearly as grateful as the people that will benefit from the money raised.

Moments before the race

On the 21st March 2010, Irwin ran the Reading Half Marathon, after training hard on the hills of rural Devon, England.

Working on the Pila

Irwin currently lives with a young man who, last year, joined the Brigade who helped install a number of irrigation systems to the neighborhoods of Managua.
As it is, almost 1 Million people live without effective sewer systems in their neighborhoods, which causes a deadly problem known as grey water.

Grey Water

Any washwater that has been used in the home, except water from toilets, is called greywater . Dish, shower, sink, and laundry water comprise 50-80% of residential “waste” water. This water doesn’t go far from people’s houses, and if it does, it runs down the unsurfaced streets where the children and animals play.
It is home to malarial disease and all manner of dangerous parasites…on top of all that the smell is horrific.

For just £35, all the materials required for one of these simple yet ingenius systems can be purchased and sent to those who need them.

For that reason, Irwin set a target of £500.

If you can help in any way to raise the current total to £500 please click the link below. You’d be making a difference to so many families lives.
