Irwin will be travelling once more, in January, to visit the good people of South Africa.
This time he will be travelling with some new friends, Joe and Rosie, who were lovely enough to invite him along for the journey!
Stay tuned for more pictures!

Another fantastic visit. This time only for 3 days, so the video may not be quite as full as the Berlin one.
A massive thank you to everyone for making memories with Irwin, to all those who were brave enough to stand infront of Irwin’s video camera (there are a lot of camera-shy people in the world!).
Irwin met a loads of interesting people from around the world. A whole horde of charity collectors from Nottingham University, group of extremely colourful artists in Covent Garden, a headless man, and even the Queen herself!
People from France, Singapore, USA, Pakistan, Australia, India, Scotland, South Africa <– Irwin’s going there next!
There was also a beautiful friends reunited moment between Irwin the Mime and Eva Lou, whom he met in Hamburg over 3 years ago, on his first travels. The improbable does happen my friends.
A few people also got stuck into the Travelling Mime spirit and took masks around London. I’ll put their photos up on the ‘Irwin Masks’ page.
Keep a look out next week for the Irwin in London video.
More to follow, but now it is time for dinner…

Look for updates on where to meet Irwin while he’s in London.
There will be opportunities to get involved with the video project.
The rest of the time, Irwin will be wandering the streets of London, seeing the sights. He’s never been to London before so, with such a short time, he’ll be trying to see as much as possible!
There will be opportunities to be involved with pictures and videos, so bring your smiling selves down and let’s make some memories.
Maybe you’ll meet eachother by chance, or at the predetermined places and times. Either way, it’d be nice to introduce you.

What a trip this was!
If you aren’t already aware, for the first four days of October, Berlin was beset with a story of giant proportions.
The legendary french theatre company: Royal de Luxe, were commissioned to tell their tale of separation and reunion to mark the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin wall. Such beautiful and emotional scens unfolded before an audience of hundreds of thousands. If you don’t know what I recommend googling it or clicking the following link (a video I made as a keepsake) [link]
Back to Irwin…on night one of this project Irwin met a very friendly fellow traveller named Raymond, and the youth hostel reception worker named Ahmed. Long into the night they talked of what Irwin could do in Berlin. It wasn’t too long before those there had decided Irwin should put on a little preview of his mime. It was the end of a long day and fatigue was setting in, but Irwin indulged his company in a short display.
Irwin then, after a little bit of faffing with mobile phones, found residence with a Clown/Dancer called Flo and a Harpist called Rachael. Together they wondered the streets of Berlin, chasing giants, seeing the sites, doing out-door karaoke (being a mime, Irwin wasn’t too good at this), and drinking lots of good german beer. After a week or so Irwin had to move on. Ever the traveller, Irwin mustn’t linger too long, lest he become rooted and find himself with a mortgage!
After a long day of looking for places to stay, Irwin bumped into some strangers on the street; Josh and Eve, a couple who were very much into the arts. After a long muted conversation, they offered him a bed in their flat. A tremendous stroke of luck for Irwin, and a testament to the kindness you can find in unexpected places.
For the next couple of weeks, Irwin was putting on tiny shows around the city. Josh found time to come along on some occasions and take a few photos; even filming a few things here and there.
Berlin is full of little adventures ready to be found. The tours with New Europe are a great way to introduce yourself to a city’s history, and one of the fastest ways to meet people.
Irwin would like to thank everyone he met in Berlin, for making the Berlin trip so memorable.

Thank you for taking an interest in Irwin. Or perhaps you’ve simply stumbled upon this site as fate would have it. In any case I do hope you enjoy this site.
Irwin’s coming locations for site work:
Irwin in L.A. (USA)
Spring 2010
Irwin in Jo’burg (South Africa)
January 2010
Irwin in London (England)
November 2009
Irwin in Berlin (Germany)
October 2009
In October 2009 Irwin made his debut appearance as an official Travelling Mime. The location was Berlin City, Germany.
Films, photographs and friendships were made there, with people from many different countries.
Since then Irwin has been looking to visit more places, with the aim of changing ever so slightly the memories of experience for those of whom he meets. Why not suggest a place for Irwin to visit? or download an Irwin mask and submit an adventure to the site?
Berlin is a fantastic place to visit. Rich with fascinating histories, and rife with wild things happening all over the place. Having arguably been the most important place in the world for most of the 20th Century, and continuing to be a cultural hub in Europe, Irwin sincerely recommends a visit!
